It is time to clear off your grills, put on your shorts and sandels and revel in the day out barbecuing and smoking countless Cigars. with my favourite cigars, I like to drink a tumbler of scotch and just relax. After such a long winter, which appeared to be longer than years past, last weekend was perfect BBQ weather. I was able to finally open all of my windows and air out the house. I don’t smoke inside, it needed airing out anyhow. I tuned up my grass mower because yes, unfortunately it is that time of year also. The snow is gone and the grass is growing. I don’t mind cutting my grass and keeping the lawn up. There is basically a great satisfaction to a good looking grass and worth all of the effort. This past weekend, I smoked my favorite cigar and BBQ’d up some ribs and pork steaks. I love to think of myself as the master cook, king of the griddle. There is nothing like lighting those coals and going to the town on bountiful meats and vegetables. Of course I’m a charcoal man, I like the flavour of the grill. If you use gas, it doesn’t get the smokey flavour that I like and is way overrated. I invited all of my buddies and obviously the other half and youngsters were there. It is a little to cold to swim yet, but once memorial day comes around, I’m going to open the pool for the season. My children love swimming and splashing around, I am also known to take a dip with cigar and scotch in hand. Summer is just such a great time to get together with friends and family and enjoying life they way you need to.

There is nothing better than lighting up a stogie when its time to relax, either after your job, on the golfing course and after we look after something big, like a personal and a pro victory. And the more time we toke on stogies and become more acquainted with cigars – the more we find out about taking care of them. And naturally when we start to smoke premium, dearer brands, we discover how vital it is to keep them at there perfect level of freshness. You didn’t have to stress about buying a portable case for your Dutch Master Cigars that you used to smoke. So when it’s the time to travel with our cigars -or even if we only need a simpler way to keep them while on the way to work or out on small business dinners -we definitely need a smarter way to guard there flavor, as well as carry them properly. And choosing a Cigar Travel Humidor should be something that we take somewhat seriously. Honestly, when you consider it, more folks will see our travel humidor than will see our home or primary humidor. So selecting a good, quality travelling humidor should be treated with the same kind of thought and detail as when we selected our home humidor. These are some tips for selecting a travelling humidor : These are the fundamentals, but knowing them will prepare you for your search. The Size- basically, how many cigars will you travel with. Don’t be scared to over do it a bit. Manifestly, its better to have extra space than not enough. Lid and Seal – Depending on the kind of humidor you need – whether it’s a solid case / box -or a leather one – The lid should always close on a cushion of air. We do not want ANY air inside our humidor. Air is the enemy and without reference to size, we must always buy a cigar travel humidor that follows the same guidelines as a regular humidor. Inside and Lining – For traveling, our cigar humidor desires fingered casing so that our cigars stay nice and snug during our travels -especially for long distance trips. And a good insulated material is always an extra. Humidifier Device – I’ve seen some guys that actually paid money on a humidor with no humidifier device – and its a total let down. The Humidifier is the spine of a good, quality travel humidor. That’s what controls the inside humidity levels inside the stogie travel humidor.

Stogies have been viewed as a luxury item, due to pictures presented through TV and films of well off and prestigious males puffing on a stogie while swirling a glass of fine wine. If you would like to relax with a fine stogie and a fine libation after work, and are dubious of the way to do it properly, then here are one or two helpful recommendations.

Historically, a mild cigar like the miami suites cigars have been paired with a strong drink with well-liked spirits that include: rum, brandy, or whiskey. It is disagreed a strong drink, with a refined hint of sweetness, must always be twinned with a fine cigar. The concept of pairing cigars with lager has been overlooked, in the place of the well-liked custom of pairing cigars with a powerful, fine drink. But you should not overlook good old beer and of late the trend has been to pair cigars with varied varieties of lager. It appears that as cigars have entered the mainstream, this has been democratized and popularized but what better way to enjoy a puff of this newly popularized treat than to try it with alcohol?

So, St. Louis has accepted a smoking ban for all public facilities, with only a short list exemptions. I’m so tired of my rights being taken away, I’m ill. I do not apprehend the reason non-smokers have such a assertive personal judgement on what us smokers want to do. I comprehend that smoking is nasty, but I made a conscience choice when I took up smoking, observant of the fact it was harmful. Just because non-smokers want me to cease, won’t mean that it’s going to happen. Smoking in bars has been a allowance, but most restaurants have a chosen smoking section. If you prefer not to to smell the smoke, don’t sit down in the smoking section, you are not unwilling made to sit in smoking. And as far as the employees of these pubs that argue they are distressed by second hand smoke, prove it. I worked in the hospitality industry for over 10 years, and I know that almost all of theco-workers were smokers. Dealing with people, if anything, initiates you to puff. Also, I have never heard any non-smoking co-worker ever protest about second hand smoke while on the job in the smoking section. Putting a smoking prohibition in restaurants and bars, will only save me money, considering I won’t dine out after the January 1st.

I have made a decision this christmas to ask for easy presents that my wife can determine easily for me. My first choice, as always, is my favored cigar from garcia-vega-cigars.com. My wife doesn’t even have to leave our house, she can go on the internet (I have all my favorites sites saved) and make out the order there. As far as more gifts, she can take a trip to the closest retailer and pick out a gift. She debates every holiday that I am utterly difficult person to get gifts for. But we have been together for almost 15 years! And if she doesn’t understand the things I want by now, I just don’t know. I always mention every year, “I got to have cigars”, I smoke 1 or 2 per day, and that adds up. I have a humidor for keeping my cigars, “what’s that for?” she inquires. Well my sweetheart, it’s to keep my cigars refreshed. So, if you get me cigars for the holiday I can store them in the humidor for a couple months and get one when I am wishing to savor one. Although I have to say, I was lucky last year, she gave me a lighter that was ingraved with my initials. The prior year, she bought me a fishing pole, unfortunately I said I would like to go fishing again someday. Well, I went fishing one time since then, but guess what, I still enjoy 1-2 cigars every day. Well what do I want for my present this year? I want Cigars, and all else would just be an secondary pleasure.

The most basic method of identifying cigars is by the method in which they are made. Cigars are either rolled by hand, or manufactured by machines. The beginner smoker may be tempted to start by trying those machine made brands sold in Drug Stores, such as Parodi. However, the aspiring connoisseur should consider spending a few more pennies and moving up to hand rolled cigars, which are sold online or at a local tobacconist.

Daily Smokers Vs Connoisseurs
TypicalIndividual cigar smokers have their own specific tastes, and have their own individual financial constraints. Those who like smoking several cigars per day may need an “everyday” cigar that is inexpensive. Therefore, the taste and cost of machine made cigars can be very handsome to some smokers. However, to the new smoker or experienced connoisseurs, the ones who enjoy an occasional cigar as a special treat, the hand rolled cigar is worth every penny.
